Donna will carry out all functions and serve or issue all the notifications required by law of a Local Authority’s Proper Officer ensuring that the instructions of the Council in connection with its function as a Local Authority are carried out. Donna will advise the Council on, and assist in the formation of, overall policies and strategies to be followed in respect of the Authority’s activities. Whilst providing inspiring leadership and as the Head of Paid Service in the strategic management of the Town Council, Donna will manage and lead the staff complement enabling the delivery of high quality, value for money services which meet the needs, aspirations and expectations of Taunton’s vibrant community, in line with the direction given by the elected members.

Marcus will support and work with the Town Clerk and Proper Officer in achieving the councils stated aims and objectives. Marcus will deputise in the absence of the Town Clerk and Proper Officer, carrying out the statutory and delegated functions of the Council as required.

Sally will work with the Town Clerk and Proper Officer and support the Council in ensuring that all aspects of the Council’s financial arrangements are managed in accordance with legislation and statutory requirements.
Operations and Events Manager

Craig is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of services, events and facilities owned, organised and managed by Taunton Town Council. He is responsible for ensuring that the instructions of the Council in connection with its functions are carried out and produce and execute the Council’s events programme.
Civic and Engagement Lead

Jo is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the Council’s civic and media arrangements are managed and monitored. This includes the planning and coordination of Civic Events and the management of the Mayor’s diary.
Democratic and Governance Lead

Tracey will work with the Management Team ensuring that all aspects of the Council’s democratic and governance arrangements are correctly administered, monitored and managed in accordance with legislation and statutory requirements.
Town Warden Lead

The Town Warden Lead will undertake day to day tasks including the maintenance of Town Council premises, open spaces, and any other physical assets which will reflect the Town Council’s goal of improving and maintaining standards of environmental and community safety, cleanliness and well-being within the Town.

Renata will support the Deputy RFO and Finance Manager ensuring that all aspects of the Council’s financial arrangements are discharged and will identify, administer and complete grant applications to secure external funding.
Project and Administration Officer

Caroline will provide a first call of service to customers of the Council. Caroline will support the Management Team in investigating, facilitating, and managing any additional services and projects on behalf of the Town Council.

Richard transports and accompanies the Mayor at events when required. Richard also acts as Macebearer, helping the Civic and Engagement Lead to ensure that civic processions are correctly ordered leading such processions carrying the Mace.

The Communication and Administration Officer will take the lead on improving how we engage, and how we promote our brand, services and amenities; focusing on developing our digital profile as well as ensuring internal organisational communications.
