Grants
Taunton Town Council is funded by local residents using public funds and wishes to ensure that the funds are used to assist community organisations located in Taunton and for the benefit of Taunton residents. The Council is committed to aiding and supporting local groups which are set up to promote community life for Taunton residents. The Council’s financial support is provided by way of Grants which are decided against conditions set by Taunton Town Council. These are designed to be a general indication of need but are not exclusive and can be flexibly applied.
Grants applications are considered and awarded during Grants Sub-Committee meetings, which are held at least three times in any financial year.

Sponsorships
On occasion, the Town Council resolves to support or sponsor events in and around the town outside of its Grant process. The sponsorship objective is to make contributions for the benefit of communities and residents of Taunton, for events that are free entry for all.
The sponsorship requires a formal application which is made available for applicants in two forms: website form and downloadable PDF form. Interested parties might be referred to the Grant Policy and the Grant Application if the Town Council finds it being more suitable for the grants process. The sponsorship is not limited to any organisations but individuals or businesses generating profit through the event will not be considered.

Deadlines
The application window is always open, however please consider the next Grants Sub-Committee meeting dates to time your project right, as we are unable to fund retrospective costs.
The submission deadline is three weeks before each Grants Sub-Committee meeting.
