Parks and Play Areas
The Town Council manages and oversees a number of parks and play areas across Taunton providing space for people to meet fostering a sense of belonging and togetherness.
These spaces are bookable for community events and activities. A charge would apply for private and commercial use with discounts available for charity organisations.
If you plan to hold an event on one of our parks. Here are some things you will need to consider:
- Public liability insurance (minimum of 10 million)
- Event Management Plan
- Risk Assessment
If you have any questions or wish to speak to someone about your event prior to producing your event plan, please use the contact us form and ask to speak to the Operations and Event Manager.
Fitness and Community Activities
We support and actively encourage the use of our spaces for the benefits of mental health and wellbeing. Commercial fitness classes will be subject to the agreed hire rates. Please note that any bookings where you ay have young people part taking under the age 16, the organizer will need to provide their DBS certificate.
